Meet Katie Krippner, Paid Media Intern

unnamedNina Hale, Inc. recently brought on Katie Krippner as our new Paid Media Intern. We are so excited to have her on board! 

1) What is your educational background?

I’m currently a Senior at the University of Minnesota pursing a BS in Marketing and Professional Strategic Communications, with an emphasis in Advertising. I’ve interned at Steele Fitness Corporate as a Brand Strategy and Project Management Intern, at Jasper + Black as a Strategic Communications Intern, at Red Sky Consulting as a Marketing and Social Media Strategy Intern, and at the Big Gay Race as their Community Management Intern. 

2) What led you to Search Marketing?

Marketing is becoming completely influenced by search. I’m interested in how you can track consumer trends through online consumer data in search. 

3) What are some of your hobbies / what do you do in your free time?

I’m very interested in nutrition and fitness. I love to stay active, especially with yoga and kickboxing. I also love exploring the Minneapolis culture and am very fashion-focused!

4) What’s your favorite part about NHI thus far? 

I’m excited to be working at Nina Hale, Inc. because of the unparalleled opportunity to work and learn among some of the smartest and strategic thinkers in search marketing today. 

5) What’s your favorite aspect about living in Minnesota? And your least?

My favorite aspect of living in Minnesota is being from the same state as Prince. Also, the first few warm days after winter when the entire state of Minnesota is so happy that nuclear winter is over – you feel like you’ve just walked into an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. My least favorite, the tragedy of black ice in the winter, although it does keep you on your toes. 

6) Favorite local restaurant?

Breakfast: Colossal Cafe 
Lunch: Cossetta’s
Dinner: Bourough, Stella’s, Smack Shack
7) If you could travel to one place tomorrow, where would it be?
I would go to Greece!
8) What do you hope to learn from your Internship with NHI?
I’m hoping to learn and expand my knowledge on how paid media fits into today’s marketing ecosystem. 
9) What special qualities are you bringing to NHI?
Brilliance illuminator, working to make the ordinary extraordinary.

Fun fact: I love Muffin Monday (inspired by banana nut flavored muffins and Gwen Stefani) and good luck origami dragons!
