Hale was surfing prototype social communities in the early 1980’s from (of course) her parent’s basement. After receiving a B.A. in American Cultural Studies from Brown University, she worked in media planning and early digital throughout the 1990’s, while receiving an M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management. Combining her love of popular culture with her interests in measurement and immediate feedback, she was on the forefront of SEO and paid media as early as 2000, working in several of the most trendsetting agencies in Minneapolis and making connections with future employees and clients.
In 2005 Hale founded Nina Hale, Inc., growing from an independent consultant to a small business owner in a few short years. Widely recognized as a leader in digital media, Hale retains her enthusiasm for strategic planning and still professes a love for keyword research. She remains heavily invested in maintaining a thriving company culture while keeping the business ahead of the digital trends. She is on the board of trustees at the Walker Art Center and is a frequent speaker locally and nationally on trends related to internet marketing and company culture.
