Client Background

Thymes is a Minneapolis based company started by two childhood friends. Over the past 30 years Thymes has grown into a developed business dedicated to creating fragrances for consumers with bath, body, and home products that can be purchased through their e-Comm site, www.thymes.com, as well as through retail channels.

Challenge

With an abundance of hundreds of products the challenge for Thymes was determining keywords that consumers use to search for their products. In addition, Thymes wanted to increase revenue  through their website.

Our Work

To determine effective keywords used by Thymes consumers and increase e-comm revenue we implemented several tactics. We performed a significant amount of keyword research for product categories and themes related to Thymes and their offerings. Additionally, we completed a technical audit and offered recommendations for improved site performance. Finally, we developed an SEO writing guide and training session for Thymes.

Results

The client saw a 46%  increase in non-branded site visits and 91%  growth in revenue from non-branded traffic from 2010- to 2011.
