Client Background

Non-profit Hazelden Treatment Center is a world renowned drug rehab and alcohol treatment center with locations in Minnesota, New York, Chicago, Naples Florida and Newberg, Oregon.

Challenge

Hazelden faces the same challenges that many of our clients face; namely the need to maximize brand exposure while minimizing cost.

Solution

In July we noticed that Hazelden was eligible to launch Google Tags for their Chicago location. For $25 a month per location, Google shows a little yellow tag in your maps listing that when clicked directs you to videos, photos, coupons, reservations, menu or posts for your business. Since Hazelden has a robust YouTube presence, we opted to send users there.

Google Tag Case Study

From Jan-May there were 456 actions where from June – December there were 4107 actions! An action means either a click to the site, click on more info, or driving directions to your location. The biggest increase was in clicks to the site (259 before, 3051 after) and directions (119 before, 900 after).
